About the design: The design of the website was created using Figma and the Adobe Suite in accordance with some initial designs for the brand delivered by the client.

Behind the scenes:

The client requested the designs to be implemented on PubPub, an open-source publishing platform for knowledge communities, where researchers can collaborate and publish papers. Exploring a new platform is always exciting, albeit it comes with various challenges to customize it to one’s preferences.

As time progresses, the website’s emphasis shifts to highlight the current deadline for submitting contributions or registering. A timeline is displayed to indicate the current status and upcoming deadlines.
